Summer brings back fond memories of road trips, staying up late, and lots of camping. Some of my best times as a child weren’t elaborate, expensive trips. Instead, they were simple, fun times with the family.

Summer Bucket List

Here’s my summer bucket list:

  • Visit the Amana Colonies
  • Go Fishing (Free Fishing Weekend is June 6-8 where I don’t need a fishing license!) 6/8/14
  • Slip-n-Slide
  • Swimming in the creek in the backyard (okay, wading is more appropriate…unless it floods!)
  • Camping in the backyard
  • Complete 8 Pinterest projects (please leave your ideas below!)
  • Purge 8 boxes of stuff
  • Save $1,000
  • Family pictures
  • Lots of Geocaching
  • 10-Year High School Reunion (eek!)
  • Colletta and Tim’s Vow Renewal
  • Keep the weeds tamed in the garden
  • Dance in the rain
  • Spa Day with the girls
  • Have a picnic 6/8/14
  • Family Game Night w/ snacks and prizes
  • Feed the ducks
  • Bremer County Fair
  • Star Gazing
  • Have a “Yes Day” – where I say yes to the kids all day
  • Have a scavenger hunt
  • Make a fairy garden
  • Summer Reading Program at the library
  • Ice block treasure hunt
  • Pick berries
  • Get back to pre-baby weight
  • Build a sand castle

Once I complete each item, I’ll come back and cross it off my list and do a blog post about it. What’s on your summer bucket list? I’d love to hear it below!

  1. I love all of your Summer Bucket List ideas and happy to see going to the Amana Colonies is on it 😉 The free fishing weekend is also another great idea and thing they do in Iowa! And the Bremer County Fair – I haven’t made it over for several years but always loved getting a Dairy Producers Milkshake while we were there. Thanks for sharing your Summer Bucket List on my Linky Party:
