This is a sponsored blog post, but my love for Canada is all my own!
Not a lot of people know that I spent my summers and holidays in Canada. My half-sister lived in a house in the city of Winnipeg, and she also had an off-grid farm in the country. Some of my fondest memories take place in Canada.
I’m thrilled to be headed to British Columbia soon for an event, and per my usual – I had to scope out all of the cool places to see before my trip.
I settled on Sun Peaks Resort – and not just because of the majestic mountain views!
Here’s what’s on my list, knowing that I’ll have the entire family in tow:
- Stand up paddle boarding: I can’t believe I’ve never done this before! It’s the perfect family activity because the smaller kids can partner up with the adults.
- Alpine hiking: Where better to take a family hike than some of the most beautiful views in the world?
- Horseback trail rides: When I was little, my sister and I each got to pick an activity to do for our birthdays, which took place a month apart. I always chose white water rafting, and she always chose horseback riding. Truth be told, I actually really enjoyed the horseback riding! I’m eager to get back in the saddle again.
- Mountain Cross Carts: Back home, we’re obsessed with go karts. Can you imagine how fun it would be to do carts with such a gorgeous backdrop?!
- Canoeing: One of my favorite pastimes was canoeing in the water-filled ditches near our farm in Manitoba. No torrential rains needed here – you can canoe right in the beautiful McGillivray Lake.
