However, increasing your water intake in summer is advisable, especially outdoors. Outside and away from a cool home exposes your body to the summer heat. In response, your sweat glands are triggered to cool the body down. Therefore, the more water you drink, the better it will be for replenishing the fluids lost through sweat. However, excessive water intake isn’t advisable as you may feel drowsy, overhydrated, and so on. The downside of this, however, is the increase in insect bites in warmer months. As a result, these bugs could mar your relaxing time outdoors. Fortunately, you can protect yourself against this. For instance, consider using a natural fly repellent to ward pesky flies off. You only need to spray it in your immediate outdoor area, and you will enjoy the time spent in the open. It would help to opt for organic products because they do not exude unpleasant and harmful smells.

Dressing appropriately in these hot months means choosing the right fabric for comfort. Loose-fitting and lightweight garments are the go-to summer clothing options. Your skin must breathe, while the fabric does a good job of wicking away sweat. Therefore materials like polyester, rayon, fleece, and leather do not mix well with summer, as you may have the unpleasant experience of being soaked in sweat all day. Remember also to protect your face and neck from the summer heat. In other words, exposed body parts must be covered under ample sunscreen of at least an SPF of 30. Sunburns are more common in the summer, so sunscreen will be your best friend if you plan to be at the beach when summer starts this year.
