In September you have Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and the Epcot Food and Wine Festival in full swing. Free Dining Plans are often included with hotel packages, as well as other special offers.
You can have a less expensive stay, fewer crowds in the parks and minimal risk of dangerous weather to threaten your fun. In 2020 this will be the same. Kids will be in school and there will be a lot of opportunities for fun without a lot of crowding.
However, if crowds are lighter than usual, to begin with, you might want to try May instead, for the mild weather and lower than expected crowds. The first three weeks of May especially are shaping up to be a good time to visit.
Worst Months to Visit Walt Disney World in 2020
March and April are the worst two months of the year to visit Walt Disney World. It’s the same for the Walt Disney World 2020 schedule. Spring Break is the craziest time to try and do a Walt Disney World vacation. Other months throughout the year are a grab bag.
The 2nd and 4th week of January and the beginning two weeks of February are great. You see the same thing at the end of the year with respect to the holidays. The beginning of November and December are fine, but watch out as you get closer to the holiday. And if you’re lucky, you might get to see the Halloween décor transition to Christmas décor during your stay like we did!
Walt Disney World 2020: When Crowds Don’t Matter
The prime motivation for choosing when to go to Walt Disney World is usually crowd levels. They are the best indication of when the vacation will be most enjoyable. However, if you do not care about crowds, You should not worry about going during the offseason.
March is an excellent time to visit and so are the holidays. You should definitely avoid going from June to November if thunderstorms and hurricanes are a concern for you.
