Attention coffee lovers, crooners, and mombies (see what I did there?) everywhere! Folgers has a brand new contest goin’ on where you can win a mentoring session with Chris Young AND $25,000. All that you’ve gotta do is put your own spin on the famous “Best Part of Wakin’ Up Is Folgers In Your Cup” jingle! It’s THAT easy! It just makes me really wish I could carry a tune worthy of this iconic piece of pop culture.
There’s something just so nostalgic about that jingle…it reminds me of my late father wakin’ me up for school and I’d hear the Folgers brewing and the news on. He grew up on a farm and naturally woke up around 4am for the rest of his life – quite the opposite of me, who is an actual narcoleptic. My love of Folgers started in my dad’s kitchen, and continues in my house to this day!
Here’s what you need to know:
Submit a video of your best version of the jingle on the website from January 30th through February 27th. Your version of the Jingle must include the complete melody and complete lyrics of “The Best Part of Wakin’ Up is Folgers in Your Cup.”
From February 27th to March 19th, they’re going to choose 5 semi-finalists and each will have a mentor session with Chris Young before the online vote.
From March 27th to April 24th, fans around the country will get the chance to vote daily for their favorite jingle. Every vote automatically enters you to win prizes up to $10,000.
Finally, in May, one winner will be selected to win the grand prize of $25,000!
