How to feel more attractive: If you battle a bit of low self-esteem every now and again (I know I do!), there is nothing like putting a little effort into your health and appearance to give you that much-needed boost. Taking a little time out to spend on you in your busy life and schedule is a must. I
t is not all work and caring for others. We all have issues and problems to overcome, but if we can start with ourselves and boost our own confidence and look a feel more attractive, it will do wonders for our life and mood in general.
How to Feel More Attractive
Finding time to do a little exercise is a great mood booster. Exercise increases serotonin, the happy chemical in the brain, and it floods the body with feel-good endorphins. Additionally, it is good for the waistline as it helps the body burn fat and is good for the skin too. By getting the blood pumping, you are cleaning and nourishing the skin cells as more oxygen is sent to them, and dead skin cells and waste are carried away. Exercise also opens up the pores, which allows toxins to be released from the body, and this has a natural cleansing effect.
Increasing your water intake is a pretty easy and natural way to improve to look of your skin and help you shed excess weight. By hydrating your body properly, you can reduce the look of any wrinkles, and it also helps to skin retain its elasticity. Water can also fill you up, so it can stave off those food cravings too. Not only that, but water actually helps the body digest food. Additionally, if you have a bit of joint pain, ensuring that you are fully hydrated will make sure all your joints are hydrated, reducing pain and making you feel a lot happier. I have several chronic conditions that cause extreme pain (so much pain, not even a pain doctor will try to treat it!), and notice a big difference when I drink more water.
Moisturize & SPF
If you don’t moisturize every day you are missing out on a great way to keep your skin hydrated. Moisturizer locks in moisture and has the effect of minimizing wrinkles and even eliminating fine lines. However, you need to get the right moisturizer for your skin type. If you buy moisturizer for oily skin but have dry skin, you may be wasting your money. You need to discover your skin type and invest in the right moisturizer.
Similarly, SPF is your friend. I have a sister that’s 13 months older than me and I look significantly younger than she does because I have a skincare routine and she doesn’t. I’ve never touched fillers or Botox, either.
If you have an issue with your teeth, this can detract from your smile from one of the most beautiful things you own. Also, you may be self-conscious and try and avoid smiling, which is a huge shame as this will most certainly negatively affect your confidence and how attractive you feel.
If your teeth are an issue, you should look to invest in getting them fixed. If this is a structural problem, not only will help you feel better, but it will also save you money in the long run. If you have an overbite or crooked teeth or simply want a whitening treatment, there is no time like the present to see a dentist.
I’m very fortunate to have great teeth, while my siblings don’t. I brush and floss religiously because I understand the impact oral health has on the rest of your health and longevity.
